The S3000 SBP is a “Chirp” sub bottom profiler upgrade option for the Klein3000 Side Scan Sonar. The S3000 SBP consist of a subsea assembly used to contain the transmit projectors, receive hydrophone, and SBP electronics. These components are enclosed in a fiberglass shroud with an integrated support structure to allow for combined transducer/electronics mounting and towing.

Needs a Klein 3000 side scan sonar for data acquisition.

Pulse lengths : up to 30msec ; Resolution : up to 12.5cm ; Frequency (Chirp) : 2-8 KHz.

Sea bed penetration : 5 to 50m, depending upon soil density.
