Les sondeurs de sédiment permettent la mesure des différentes strates du sous-sol marin

Amongst the different techniques used to measure sediment layers on the sea floor, we offer solutions, surface or towed sediment sounders based on very low acoustic frequency technology (CHIRP), developed by the main market leaders: Klein Marine Systems, Knudsen and SyQwest.

Our solutions include surface sediment sounders, for measurements in shallow waters (from 4 to 50m), up to very deep water readings, using the combined side-scan sonar – towed sediment sounder system.

Many factors determine detection performances:

  • the water height,
  • the frequency used,
  • the type of substrate.

These solutions are supplied with a software suite used for post-processing and the mapped representation of these submarine measurements.
