class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Bathymetry consists of defining the relief of the seabed by determining the height of water georeferenced by means of underwater acoustic sensors (single-beam or multibeam echosounders, sonars, probes, etc.), a surface GNSS receiver and analysis of the acquired data.<\/p>\n<p>The term bathymetry comes from ancient Greek: &#8220;bathys&#8221; (deep) and &#8220;metron&#8221; (measurement, instrument for measurement).<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element comparison with the surveyors who carry out the topography of the earth\u2019s surface, <strong>the bathymetry aims to map the relief of the seabed<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>By conducting bathymetric surveys, the analysis of these reliefs aims to improve:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Topographical knowledge under the water surface;<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring the marine environment;<\/li>\n<li>Marine and underwater navigation safety;<\/li>\n<li>The monitoring of works of art;<\/li>\n<li>The evaluation of volumes in the context of dredging;<\/li>\n<li>Measuring water levels of rivers, lakes,
